EPCOR Energy Alberta Inc. is EPCOR's service provider for regulated residential, farm, irrigation, and small business customers.
EPCOR Distribution & Transmission Inc. and EPCOR Energy Alberta Inc. perform regulated electricity services subject to the provisions of the Code of Conduct Regulation (A.R. 160/2003, the "Conduct Regulation"). The Conduct Regulation is intended to create a level playing field for retailers, while at the same time ensuring that customers and customer information are adequately protected.
Any person who feels EPCOR has failed to conduct its business in accordance with the Conduct Regulation may submit a complaint to the MSA, an independent body created under the Alberta Electric Utilities Act. In Alberta's deregulated marketplace, EEAI provides a Regulated Rate Option (RRO) on behalf of EPCOR Distribution & Transmission Inc., FortisAlberta, and twelve Rural Electrification Associations. It also provides default supply on behalf of FortisAlberta and EPCOR Distribution & Transmission Inc.
EEAI provides customer services for EPCOR residential, farm, and small business energy and water customers, as well as the City of Edmonton's Drainage Services and Waste Management branches.
EEAI also responds to customer billing inquiries.
