EPCOR Water Services Inc. (EWSI) provides quality water and wastewater services to over 60 communities and counties across Western Canada.
Edmonton's first water treatment plant was constructed at Rossdale in 1903. In 1996, Edmonton Water was incorporated as a separate legal entity, renamed Aqualta Inc., and began managing the City of Edmonton's Water Branch assets. In 1998, the legal title to assets was transferred to EPCOR, and in 1999 the company became EPCOR Water Services.
