Minimum Requirements

To be considered eligible to work for EPCOR, your company must meet the following minimum requirements. These minimum requirements represent the base prerequisites to be eligible to be considered for work at EPCOR and does not represent all requirements which may be in place for any particular piece of work. Further, meeting these requirements does not prequalify you for work at EPCOR.

• Minimum Insurance requirements, including:
  • General Liability insurance $2 million including non-owned automobile, blanket contractual, cross liability/severability of interest, broad form completed operations, contingent and/or employe’rs liability, sudden & accidental pollution. EPCOR is to be added as additional insured with 30 days notice of cancellation and non-renewal.
  • Automobile liability insurance $2 million.
  • Contractors Pollution Liability - $2 Million including natural resource damage when providing service on wastewater sites and/or collection systems.
  • Professional liability in an amount not less than $2,000,000 dollars where work includes engineering, design and/or professional consulting including computer and related services.
  • Installation floater is required based on the value of the scope of work performed where applicable.
  • Certificates of insurance confirming all requirements shall be provided to EPCOR prior to undertaking of any work.
  • Depending on the services rendered, increased insurance coverage and/or additional types of insurance may be required by EPCOR.
• A Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Performance and Management System.
• Proof of current Workers Compensation insurance and accompanying Clearance Certificate.
• Adherence to the following EPCOR policies:

• Code of Conduct Compliance Plan
• Privacy Policy
• EPCOR A&D Requirements for Contractors & Contract Workers
• Life Saving Rules Presentation
• Facial Hair for Tight-Fitting Respirators
• The following applies to all contractors/consultants, other than those providing professional service exclusively within an office setting.
  • Maintains in good standing a Certificate of Recognition (COR) by an approved Certifying Partner through Alberta Partnerships Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR), or equivalent program in the jurisdiction where work is to be performed.
