EPCOR has managed the water distribution and wastewater collection systems for the lakeside town of Chestermere since 2003. In October 2007, a new agreement extended EPCOR’s relationship with Chestermere for 20 years, and will lead to extensive expansion of the town’s water and wastewater system.
EPCOR financed and managed an expansion of the water system to accommodate future anticipated growth. The upgrades included expanding the town’s reservoir and adding a lift station, as well as adding new water and wastewater pipelines to Calgary.
EPCOR’s full-time staff of five in Chestermere operate and maintain the town’s water and wastewater infrastructure including a reservoir, pumping station, lift stations and the distribution and collection system.
