Background Information

EPCOR purchased the privately-owned and operated White Rock Utilities on May 1, 2005. We now operate the water assets on behalf of the 20,000 residents in the City of White Rock, and certain adjacent areas in the City of Surrey, including the Semiahmoo First Nation.

The entire water supply comes from a groundwater source called the Sunnyside Uplands aquifer and is provided through six wells, which range in depth from 200-500 feet. The water is distributed directly to residents without treatment.

The sewage is managed directly by the City of White Rock, which deals with Metro Vancouver.
