The City of Edmonton is building a 3.3 km LRT extension northwest-bound from Churchill Station in downtown Edmonton to the N.A.I.T. campus. Included in this extension is the MacEwan LRT Station, which will be located west of 103 Street and 105 Avenue. The construction and installation of the MacEwan LRT Station would require EPCOR to relocate three underground transmission lines deeper in order to maintain acceptable clearances from the LRT Facilities.

Included in this expansion is the Kingsway LRT Station, which will be located south of the Royal Alexandra Hospital between 104 Street and 105 Street along Kingsway Avenue.

The construction and installation of the Kingsway LRT Station requires EPCOR to relocate power distribution and underground transmission lines in order to maintain acceptable clearance from the LRT facilities. This work involves excavation, trenching, and power pole removal between 108 Avenue and 112 Avenue and 103 Street and 106 Street.
