No, the Rossdale Power Plant stopped providing power at the end of 2008. EPCOR received confirmation from the Alberta Electric System Operator that EPCOR’s Rossdale Transmission Must Run Agreement (operating license) to provide power would not be renewed beyond the expiry date of December 31, 2008. EPCOR is working on the Rossdale Decommissioning Project, which involves removing the non-historically designated generating buildings if approved by Alberta Environment, the regulator.
